To be a better ball striker, a consistent routine developed over time is a must on every shot. No matter how simple that may sound, it is one of the cornerstones of great golf.
Here is a tried and tested formula for you to try:
- Stand behind your ball to look at your target line, then visualise a spot no more than 1m in front of your ball on the target line.
- Aim and set your clubface.
- Place your feet & take your stance, making sure to square your shoulders so that your upper and lower body are aligned.
- Take a last look at the target
- “Pull the trigger”!
Anything you do on the course MUST be practiced on at the range, so when last did you practise your pre-shot routine? You don’t have to hit every shot in practice after using your PSR, every 3 – 5 shots would be a great start!
