THE GARY PLAYER SCHOOL FOR CHAMPIONS DELIVERS AGAIN & AGAIN!

YESTERDAY

• May 2006: The Gary Player Golf Experience launches an ambitious Holistic Game Improvement Program, based at the country’s finest practice facility, the Vodacom World of Golf.
• Year One: We help Neil Schietekat, Attie Schwartzel , Tyrone Ferreira and Alpheus Kelapile get Sunshine Tour playing cards.
• Since then: We have a hand in another 9 cards, an international amateur team trophy, 11 major amateur titles and top-10 finishes too numerous to mention.

TODAY

2010 opens with our best cycle so far - a full complement of 27 students enjoy ever-improving expert mentorship in the technical, physical, mental and vision dimensions. We enjoy their success in return:

• SPRINGBOK COLORS: - TYRONE RYAN
• JUNIOR SPRINGBOK COLORS: - GRAHAM VAN DER MERWE
• TOP 10, SA AMATEUR STROKEPLAY: - TY RYAN (2ND) & GRAHAM VD MERWE (6TH)
• SEMI-FINALIST, SA AMATEUR STROKEPLAY: Rae Mackie
• SAGA AMATEUR CIRCUIT:
  • 5 CURRENT STUDENTS INSIDE TOP 100 ON RANKINGS, INCLUDING 2 ROOKIES
  • 7 SFC STUDENTS HAVE ACHIEVED 9 TOP-15 FINISHES IN JUST 2 MONTHS
• DEVELOPMENT:
  • FC STUDENT, MUSI NETHUNZWI, QUALIFIES AND THEN FINISHES 50TH AT THE SA AMATEUR STROKEPLAY AT PEARL VALLEY
  • SIPHO SITHOLE QUALIFIES FOR THE SA AMATEUR MATCHPLAY, NARROWLY MISSING THE FINAL STAGES, THEN FINISHES 49TH AT THE NORTHERN AMATEUR STROKEPLAY
  • EMMANUEL MASWONIEDZA WINS THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH AN UNDER-PAR TOTAL IN A TOUGH FIELD AT SOWETO COUNTRY CLUB

It is our goal to continue to provide a holistic golf experience, which focuses on the most modern game improvement dimensions and which is designed to deliver all the necessary tools to prepare the champion golfer for professional, international competition.
